Tallwave’s First Portfolio Company Gives SEO Professionals Prioritized Action Plans to Work Smarter and Faster
October 26, 2010 08:00 AM Eastern Daylight Time — PHOENIX — (BUSINESS WIRE) –Tallwave, a venture accelerator focused on next-generation digital marketing, today announced its first portfolio company, SyCara, a developer of workflow management, search engine optimization (SEO) tools for agencies and brand advertisers. SyCara, for the first time, gives SEO professionals one platform by which they can accomplish workflow management, monitoring and reporting. Using SyCara’s prioritized, actionable plans, SEO professionals can achieve a higher level of efficiency and ROI.
SyCara, currently in beta development, has early stage funding from private investors, including Tallwave, and Stuart Larkins, Managing Partner of Twin Capital and former SVP of Search at Performics / DoubleClick. In addition, Rob Murray, CEO of iProspect, has joined SyCara’s Board of Directors.
“We looked at the available SEO tools in the marketplace and found what was lacking was a tool that would not only help SEO professionals manage their workflow but would also provide actionable recommendations on SEO improvement. SyCara has developed the first application that does both,” said Jeffrey Pruitt, CEO and founding partner of Tallwave.

Downhill began developing SyCara’s SEO platform two years ago when she and her agency team at Elixir Interactive saw that SEO professionals were being under-served by the current tools in the marketplace. “We built SyCara because we understood firsthand the struggles and frustrations that come with SEO management – the hassles, the lack of coordination, the disparate data sources,” she said. “SyCara integrates keyword rankings and research, analytics, integrated Google webmaster tools and linking tools, giving SEO professionals workflow management, monitoring and reporting tools in one application,” said Downhill.
SyCara will launch its beta product in Q4.
