Jeffrey Pruitt - Director
Jeff Pruitt is Director of Sycara and CEO of Tallwave, a company formed in 2009 as a venture accelerator to drive digital marketing startups, among them SyCara. Tallwave provides early stage companies with business management, intellectual capital, marketing and sales support.
Mr. Pruitt formerly served as President of iCrossing from 2002-2006. He was an early driver in the development and growth of iCrossing, the largest independent search and interactive agency. Mr. Pruitt joined iCrossing in 2000 as Chief Financial Officer and Director of Business Development. During his tenure at iCrossing revenues grew from $2M to $100M.
He previously worked in the Audit and Finance Divisions at Arthur Andersen, one of the ‘Big Six’ accounting firms. Mr. Pruitt has an undergraduate accounting degree from Arizona State University and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
Mr. Pruitt serves as chair of SEMPO (Search Engine Marketing Professional Organization) and has helped drive the trade group’s initiatives in industry research and best practices education. He is a frequent speaker at industry conferences including Ad:tech, SES, OMMA, and Baidu World in Shanghai and Moscow.
Dan Boberg - VP, Product
A seasoned internet advertising executive, Boberg most recently was Vice President of Advertiser and Agency Professional Services for Yahoo! Inc. In this role, he was responsible for driving consulting, technology integration, Right Media deployment and custom solutions for Yahoo!’s largest advertiser and agency partners.He joined GoTo.com, the company that pioneered paid search engine listings in April 1999 (acquired after a name change to Overture.com by Yahoo! in 2003).
Named as one of B2B Magazine’s 100 Most Influential People Online in 2004, Boberg worked to drive Yahoo!’s industry leadership in key areas for many years. Boberg was responsible for the launch and ongoing leadership of Yahoo!’s Enterprise Web Services (EWS), a commercial developer program that enables programmatic campaign management via APIs of Yahoo! ad products including Sponsored Search and the Right Media Exchange. Prior, he served as General Manager of Yahoo!’s SEM business, which enables search engine marketing companies to streamline their work with Yahoo! to drive targeted sales leads to clients.
Boberg’s MBA internship was as a member of Microsoft’s product planning team responsible for developing the personal financial management software product Microsoft Money. Boberg received an MBA with emphasis in Marketing and Technology from the University of Southern California.
Dylan Downhill - CTO
Dylan is a renowned expert on search engine marketing and was integral in developing the curriculum for the Search Engine Marketing Professionals Organization(SEMPO) Institute, the educational arm of SEMPO. He is an industry-veteran and prior to SyCara led the software development efforts for a major hotel reservation systems organization. During this time he helped increase online reservations by more than 1500%. Dylan owned and operated a successful IT consultancy business in England and has been developing enterprise-class web applications since 1997.
Dylan is the chief architect of SyCara's proprietary reporting and monitoring technologies. In addition, he oversees SyCara's Optimization Engineering team, which is responsible for developing and implementing search and social strategies for all of SyCara's clients.
He has sat on the advisory councils of Google, Yahoo! and Microsoft.
Robert Murray - Board of Directors
Robert J. Murray has been CEO of iProspect since 2007, having previously served as President (2000 – 2007).
Murray holds an MBA from Harvard and a bachelor’s degree from Boston University’s Carroll School of Management Honors Program. Both degrees are in business administration. Murray worked as a manufacturing and marketing strategy consultant at Bain & Company, Inc. in Boston, MA before moving to iProspect. Murray has shared his experience and expertise in industry publications such as MediaPost, DM News, Target Marketing Magazine, Search Engine Land, and iMedia Connection. He has also spoken at premiere events such as ad:tech, Search Marketing Expo, Search Engine Strategies, and OMMA. He serves on the board of directors of the New England Chapter of the American Association of Advertising Agencies and was included in the 2008 and 2009 “Who’s Who in Search” by BtoB Magazine.
